And now we know (a little bit more of) the rest of the story.
Sunday, Michigan announced that wide receiver Csont’e York has been indefinitely suspended from the football team for “failing to meet team standards.” What exactly led to York failing to live up to the Michigan Man standards wasn’t detailed in the statement attributed to head coach Brady Hoke.
“Csont’e York is suspended indefinitely for failing to meet team standards and will not report for fall camp. We demand that every person in our program represent the University of Michigan and the Michigan football program the right way on and off the field. When people fall short of that, there are consequences.”
A day later, multiple reports indicated that York is currently involved in a police investigation. That’s about as far as the details go, however.

He has not been charged with a crime. No other details were made available. He is not listed in Ann Arbor court records.
York, a three-star member of UM’s 2013 recruiting class, played in one game as a true freshman last season. He was expected to see an increased role in the offense in 2014.
