To date, Robert Marve‘s collegiate career hasn’t quite taken off as the four-star quarterback from Florida has experienced a transfer from Miami and a torn ACL that sidelined him for a majority of the 2010 season.
With the 2011 season just a few weeks away, Marve is expected to rebound as Purdue’s starting quarterback, but according to head coach Danny Hope, there’s one final snag for the senior.
Marve has been dealing with swelling to his non-injured knee and Hope says Marve will be ready for the season but is “not as far as long as I thought he would be,” on the recovery front.
Marve has been competing with sophomore Rob Henry for the starting job. Henry took over for Marve last season after Marve’s injury.
