Per the Athens Banner-Herald’s Marc Weizser, we now know exactly what Shaq Jones allegedly did to get himself kicked off Georgia on Sunday.
Weizser reports Jones allegedly stole $43 worth of merchandise from a local Wal-Mart. Specifically, the items were a car cable ($30) and power transformer ($13).
Jones was booked into the Clarke County Jail on Sunday and was released after posting a $1,500 bond. The freshman from Palm Bay Beach, Fla., was swiftly booted from the football team by coach Mark Richt.
Jones was a two-star member of Georgia’s 2014 recruiting class and also had offers from Louisville, South Alabama and Florida A&M.
