Report: Dorial Green-Beckham is visiting Oklahoma today

According to SoonerScoop’s Carey Murdock ($), former Mizzou wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham is in Norman and meeting with Oklahoma’s coaching staff on Thursday.

This isn’t exactly coming out of left field since Green-Beckham was linked to Oklahoma last month.

While Green-Beckham wasn’t charged with a crime he was investigated for a burglary in which he allegedly shoved a woman down several stairs and injured his girlfriend at a Columbia off-campus housing complex. A few days later, Green-Beckham -- who also had two pot-related arrests while at Mizzou -- was kicked off the team.

Formerly the nation’s No. 1 recruit, Green-Beckham broke out in 2013 for 59 catches, 883 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was flat-out unstoppable against Auburn in the SEC Championship, catching six passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns.

Green-Beckham’s been previously linked to FCS-level Eastern Illinois, though that didn’t go anywhere. There was a report in late May that Green-Beckham could sit out 2014 and enter the 2015 NFL Draft, too.

If Green-Beckham does ultimately wind up in Norman he’d almost certainly have to sit out a year due to the NCAA’s transfer rules and make his Sooner debut in 2015.

UPDATE: If Green-Beckham indeed is visiting with OU coaches, Bob Stoops isn’t one of them (but he could be meeting with co-offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach Jay Norvell after all).

Update II: Both Jason Kersey and Bruce Feldman have confirmed Green-Beckham is indeed on campus at Oklahoma today.
