Report: Florida State snags LB coach Bill Miller from Minnesota

Per CoachingSearch, linebackers coach Bill Miller is heading from Minnesota to Florida State to fill out the Seminoles’ coaching staff.

Miller spent the last three seasons on Jerry Kill’s staff in Minneapolis, serving as the linebackers coach and assistant head coach. He has two previous ties to the state of Florida, serving as Miami’s defensive coordinator from 1995-1998 and Florida’s linebackers coach/associate head coach from 2003-2004.

Miller brings 36 years of college coaching experience to Tallahassee and is a two-time Broyles Award finalist. In addition to his stint at Miami, he’s served as the defensive coordinator at Nevada (1983-1985), Oklahoma State (1989-1994), Michigan State (1999-2002), Arizona (2005-2006) and Western Michigan (2007). He’s also held staff positions at UT-Arlington, Drake, Louisville and Kansas.
