As part of several shakeups on Iowa’s coaching staff over the past couple of months, Hawkeyes running backs/special teams coach Lester Erb found himself looking for a new job despite having perhaps the most Iowa name of all time.
According to multiple reports, he’s found one. Footballscoop.com and Bruce Feldman are reporting that Erb will join Brian Pollian‘s coaching staff at Nevada in the same capacity.
The school has yet to make any comment on the reports.
Erb had been with the Hawkeyes since 2000 and moved over to running backs from wide receivers in 2008. However, over the past few years, Iowa has had numerous problems at the running back spot, be it transfers, off-the-field issues or injuries. In 2012, the Hawkeyes ranked 104th in rushing yards per game with 123.
