Yep, it’s that time of the year.
Thursday night, the Hattiesburg American is reporting, three full- or part-time starting members of the Southern Miss football program were arrested following a disturbance at a pool.
Receivers DeAndre Brown and Johdrick Morris and linebacker Martez Smith were charged with disorderly conduct after, the paper wrote, failing to comply with an officer’s attempt to disperse a crowd. All three were taken to the county jail and later released.
Head coach Larry Fedora was not available for comment.
Brown set a school record for receptions in 2008 with 67, and followed that up with a 47-catch season in 2009. Morris started five games last season, while Smith started at linebacker for the Golden Eagles and was credited with 82 tackles.
