Suspended or dismissed by Michigan, Dennis Norfleet apologizes

We still don’t know what’s going on with Dennis Norfleet. What we do know is, though, he’s sorry... for whatever it is that’s going on in his life that’s led to recent reports.

In a post on his Instagram account Thursday night, Norfleet apologized to UM fans, UM alumni and current/former UM teammates. He did not offer any specifics regarding for what he’s apologizing, although he did state that he “will be okay.”

Below is Norfleet’s entire missive:

I’ve been crying so much I have no more tears to give I just want to give an apology to all the Michigan fans and the Michigan alumni last but not least my team. We been through it all we all have the same goals that we want to reach but I’ve been talking to God everything is going to be alright for those who don’t know what’s going on... Trust me I will be okay things happen for reason

On Tuesday, it was reported that Norfleet had been dismissed by new head coach Jim Harbaugh. A day later, a report surfaced that the return specialist/wide receiver/cornerback had merely been suspended.

UM has contributed to the uncertainty as the football program has remained mum on the player’s status moving forward.
