Two old Southwest Conference foes will be reuniting for a pair of game son upcoming schedules. Texas A&M and Rice opened the 2013 season in College Station and have agreed to meet again in 2014.
According to a report by Houston Chronicle, the two schools have agreed to a pair of games. Texas A&M will host Rice in 2014 and will travel to Houston to take on Rice in 2019. Texas A&M has not played in Houston since 1995. The exact dates for the games have not yet been determined.
In 2014 the Aggies open the season at South Carolina in SEC play. The Aggies have the next two weeks open on their schedule, according to FBSchedules.com. Texas A&M also has open dates on October 5 and November 22 in 2014. Rice’s Conference USA schedule for 2014 has yet to be released, which may be what is holding up the scheduling for the game in 2014. Rice will also play at Notre Dame in the 2014 season opener.
Before this season Texas A&M and Rice last played in 1995. Now if only Texas A&M and Texas could come together and get back together for a regular season game. Forget about that one.
