Following up on the rumored Texas-BYU series, the schools have agreed to add two more games onto the one originally announced back in January, BYU announced Friday morning.
In addition to the game scheduled for 2011 in Austin, the Longhorns will visit Provo in 2013 and the Cougars will return the favor in 2014.
“We are excited to announce this series with Texas,” BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe said in a Statement. “We are always looking for opportunities to schedule storied football programs like the Longhorns. I’m really excited for our coaches, our players and the rest of Cougar Nation to have Texas visit LaVell Edwards Stadium.”
Whether BYU will be a member of the Mountain West or an independent by the time the ’13 game rolls around remains to be seen.
