The ACC is holding the annual spring meetings this week, a precursor to the football media days scheduled later this summer. In addition to voting in favor of an eight-game conference schedule in football and moving the basketball tournament up a day, it seems a brand new logo has been leaked as well. The only thing is, the conference did not want it to come out just yet, as if that had a chance of actually happening in this day and age.

You have to love the message attached to the first logo. A conference making even the slightest of changes to a logo is sure to draw attention, no matter how subtle or drastic, but we all know that as soon as you add a message asking to keep the logo private that you are just inviting pictures to leak. Perhaps that was all a part of the master plan anyway!
As for the logo itself, assuming this is the final version of an updated logo for the conference, you can see the conference is going for a bit edgier look. This logo is a bit more modern but keeps some of the basic elements alive in the simplicity of the logo. Change often is hard to accept, but this logo is not all that bad. That said, what was really long with the old logo?
What do you think about the new logo? Thumbs up or thumbs down?
