Even as his career at Michigan has come to an end, the effects of Brandon Minor‘s final season in Ann Arbor are still being felt.
According to AnnArbor.com, Minor underwent surgery last week to repair a torn rotator cuff in his left shoulder. Minor, who led the Wolverines in rushing with 502 yards, was originally diagnosed with a shoulder sprain after incurring the injury Nov. 7 against Purdue.
Obviously, the injury was much worse than originally thought, and the subsequent surgery will keep Minor out of football-related activities for upwards of four months.
“He’s still not feeling too well,” Minor’s mother, Julie Gilliam, said. “They had a problem controlling his pain. He ended up having to be taken back into emergency. He was discharged (Sunday). He’s doing a lot of sleeping.”
Minor was scheduled to participate in the East-West Shrine game, but the surgery will knock him out of that postseason all-star game.
