Small world.
Two years after Mike London left Richmond to become the next head coach at Virginia, a quarterback from London’s first signing class will transfer to the 1-AA program.
Richmond announced today that quarterback Michael Strauss would be joining the Spiders two months after Strauss made it known he would be leaving the Cavaliers.
“We are very excited to announce the signing of transfer quarterback Michael Strauss out of Miami, Florida,” the release stated. “Michael was in a quarterback battle at the University of Virginia before deciding to transfer at the end of the semester. This addition will offer us another option at the quarterback position heading into spring football. The competition will benefit all the quarterbacks in our program and I am excited to evaluate their progress.”
Strauss, who will be able to play immediately and have three years of eligibility left, did not take any snaps for UVA this season.
