Wake Forest calls it a day after 21 commits

Wake Forest announced its 2010 recruiting class on the afternoon of National Signing Day.

The final player to sign a national letter of intent with the Demon Deacons was cornerback Joseph Byrd, a three-star recruit per Rivals.

Linebacker Zachary Allen, long snapper Logan Feimster, defensive tackle Antonio Ford, tight end Jonathan Garcia, linebacker Patrick Thompson, and defensive end Daniel Vogelsang were already enrolled entering Wednesday.

The new additions are defensive tackle Duke Mosby, tight end Neil Basford, running back Ben Emert, cornerback A.J. Marshall, receiver Matt James, cornerback Merrill Noel, offensive guard Colin Summers, offensive tackle Daniel Blitch, offensive tackle Dylan Heartsill, quarterback Tanner Price, receiver Brandon Terry, cornerback Kevin Johnson, running back Nick Knott, safety Desmond Cooper, and the aforementioned Byrd.

Marshall was the lone four-star recruit, according to Rivals. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound corner out of Durham, North Carolina has been timed at 4.47 in the forty-yard dash. Marshall may have a significant year-one role with senior CB Brandon Ghee headed for the pros.
