Even with the Vikings in need of receiving bodies, Bolden didn’t do enough in camp to justify a roster spot. The Vikings also waived CB Reddy Steward, CB Keenan Garber, RB Tre Stewart, S Mishael Powell, T Logan Brown, OL Zach Bailey, WR Robert Lewis and DL Travis Bell to go along with the previously announced releases of QB Brett Rypien and OLB Cam Gill.

Bolden (5'10/175) took an official visit to Corvallis this past weekend and was on hand for the team’s narrow loss to Stanford on Saturday. The last name should be familiar to the OSU faithful, as his older brother, Victor Bolden, played with the program earlier this decade. While Silas is classified as an all-around “athlete” on the 247Sports composite board, he is a likely receiver for the collegiate ranks. Bolden comes equipped with track speed.
