According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Packers WRs Shaky Smithson and Dale Moss “appear to be more than just camp bodies.”
The Journal-Sentinel expects the Packers to keep six receivers for the first time in the Mike McCarthy era. However, with five spots already locked up and Diondre Borel and Tori Gurley the favorites for the sixth, Smithson and Moss are both still likely on the outside looking in. A dynamic returner in college, Smithson missed his entire rookie season with a shoulder injury.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Bears waived WRs Dale Moss and Demetrius Fields.
Moss was an intriguing UDFA out of South Dakota State last year, spending some time on the Packers’ practice squad after playing basketball in college. To get waived in early June, Moss must not have shown well at OTAs.
  • FA Wide Receiver
    Panthers signed WR Dale Moss.
An undrafted free agent out of South Dakota State last season, Moss has athleticism to spare as a former basketball player, but hasn’t come close to sticking on anyone’s roster. He could be a practice squad player in Carolina.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Bears signed WR Dale Moss, OGs Derek Dennis and Chris Riley, CB Isaiah Frey, TE Gabe Miller, DE Cheta Ozougwu and DE Aston Whiteside to reserve/future contracts.
The minimum-salary deals will lock these players onto the Bears’ offseason roster and they’ll hope to make it to training camp to compete for a roster spot. Moss is the most intriguing prospect of the group. A former basketball player at South Dakota State, Moss is a big-time athlete with some potential.
  • FA Wide Receiver
    Panthers waived WR Dale Moss.
Moss has loads of athleticism, but it’s never translated to the field. The Panthers also waived QB Colby Cameron, LB Ryan Rau, P Jordan Gay, CB Nick Hixson, K Morgan Lineberry, DE Louis Nzegwu, S Ricardo Silva, and OL Justin Wells.
  • FA Wide Receiver
    Bears signed WR Dale Moss.
A UDFA out of South Dakota State in 2012, Moss has never appeared in an NFL game. The former basketball player is likely just a camp body.
