Saints CB Delvin Breaux (leg) returned to practice on Wednesday.
It’s the first time he’s practiced since breaking his leg in the Saints’ season opener. Breaux’s return would be a huge boost to the Saints’ beleaguered secondary. It’s unclear if he’ll be ready for Sunday’s game against Seattle.
  • FA Defensive Back
Delvin Breaux (leg) is not expected to play in Thursday’s Week 11 game against the Panthers.
He didn’t practice this week and was always a long shot to suit up. Breaux broke his leg earlier this season and is apparently still feeling the effects. Cam Newton should have no trouble shredding the Saints’ patchwork secondary on Thursday night.
  • FA Defensive Back
Saints LCB Delvin Breaux was carted off with a left leg injury in Sunday’s game against the Raiders.
Breaux missed nearly a quarter of action before briefly returning. He then went down and had to be helped off the field. He could put no pressure on his left leg.
  • FA Defensive Back
Saints CB Delvin Breaux (leg) has been ruled out for Week 8.
Breaux will miss at least one more game after returning to practice this week. With Sterling Moore (abdomen) sidelined, it’s an upgrade for Russell Wilson and the Seattle offense. DeVante Harris should start opposite Ken Crawley.
  • FA Defensive Back
Delvin Breaux (leg) is questionable for Thursday night’s Week 11 game against the Panthers.
Breaux didn’t practice this week, which is obviously a concern for his availability on a short week. The 52.5-point over-under in this one is the second-highest of the week. The Carolina offense is in a tremendous spot.
  • FA Defensive Back
Delvin Breaux (leg) missed Tuesday’s practice.
Breaux was on the field for most of Sunday’s loss to the Broncos, but is evidently having complications with the leg he broke earlier this season. The Saints’ wildly-thin defense can ill afford an absence.
  • FA Defensive Back
Saints coach Sean Payton said CB Delvin Breaux (broken leg) will miss about six weeks after undergoing surgery Monday morning.
Easily the Saints’ best cover guy, Breaux’s absence will be a big loss for a defense which struggled Week 1. Already a prime target for fantasy owners, the Saints should present an even better matchup to opposing passing games the next several weeks. Eli Manning is shaping up as an elite option at home against New Orleans Week 2.
  • FA Defensive Back
ESPN’s Mike Triplett says CB Delvin Breaux (broken leg) is ahead of schedule in his recovery.
Breaux was expected to miss six weeks after going down in the opener. He has a chance to beat that timetable, with a possible return after the Saints’ Week 5 bye a best case scenario. Sterling Moore and Ken Crawley will start against San Diego.
  • FA Defensive Back
Saints declared CB Delvin Breaux, LB Stephone Anthony, LB Dannell Ellerbe, RB Daniel Lasco, CB Sterling Moore, RB Marcus Murphy and T Andrus Peat inactive for Week 7 against the Chiefs.
Breaux (broken leg) has yet to resume practicing and remains week to week. Terron Armstead (knee) and Paul Kruger (back) are both active for New Orleans.
  • FA Defensive Back
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Saints CB Delvin Breaux (leg) will be active for Sunday’s Week 9 game against the 49ers.
Breaux hasn’t played since breaking his fibula in the Saints’ season opener. He’ll be a big help to a New Orleans secondary that has consistently been overmatched. First-round rookie Sheldon Rankins (leg) is also back this week after being activated from injured reserve.
