Penn State’s Devon Still could be an inviting possibility at No. 25. Other options may include LSU’s Michael Brockers, Michigan State’s Jerel Worthy, and UConn’s Kendall Reyes. Still would be more desirable than the others, particularly from a production standpoint. The Broncos lost Brodrick Bunkley in free agency, and haven’t had an elite interior D-Lineman in quite some time.

For a player “mocked” as early as No. 12 and even -- in some instances -- the top ten early in the draft process, Still looks like quite good value midway through round two. The 2011 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, Still goes 6-foot-5, 303, and was highly productive in college, despite taking some plays off. He will add size and big-time ability to Cincy’s interior-line rotation.

“He has athletic ability, quickness and can slip blocks,” Hayes said. “He has a lot of upside to him. That’s what you’re betting on with him.” Still notched 17 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks as a senior. With the Bengals favoring a robust rotation along their defensive line, Still could be in for just 20-30 snaps per game as a rookie

Still dominated the Big Ten conference when his motor was running, although league evaluators believed he took too many plays off. He was still a value pick in a draft class full of them for the Bengals. As a rookie, Still should push hard for playing time behind starters Geno Atkins and Domata Peko. Cincinnati has the potential to field an exciting front-four rotation.

Still was a highly productive college pass rusher when healthy and draws high marks for technical skills. His forty times aren’t impressive when compared to Fletcher Cox, Whitney Mercilus, or Quinton Coples, but they are respectable for a 6-foot-5, 303-pound lineman. Expect Still to be a late first-round pick.

Per NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora, Still is expected to be ready for the Combine. Still, a massive 4-3 tackle or 3-4 end depending on whom you ask, is a projected top-ten pick. He’ll be joined on the sideline in Mobile by Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill (foot), Wisconsin WR Nick Toon (foot), Baylor WR Kendall Wright (ankle), Notre Dame WR Michael Floyd (undisclosed), Stanford TE Coby Fleener (undisclosed), and Alabama SS Mark Barron (undisclosed).

Still has experience at defensive end, but is a better fit, schematically, as a three-technique in DC Mike Zimmer’s defense, where he projects as an interior pass rusher. In addition to technique issues, Still needs to show better consistency if he hopes to compete for a starting job with Geno Atkins and Domata Peko.

They signed ex-Chargers DT Ogemdi Nwagbuo to fill Still’s roster spot. A second-round pick in the 2012 draft, Still has yet to make an impact through two NFL seasons. Brandon Thompson emerged this year as a bigger contributor.

2015 starter Jared Crick signed with the Broncos, leaving Still, Christian Covington, and Brandon Dunn as the competitors opposite All-Pro Watt. It’s not a particularly fruitful position and involves a lot of dirty work. Still’s daughter, Leah, was an inspiring off-field story, but Still didn’t crack a roster last season.

A 2012 second-round bust in Cincinnati, Still was out of the league last season, but has drawn consistent raves since the spring. Still is competing with 2015 sixth-rounder Christian Covington and third-year UDFA Brandon Dunn.
