Rams tendered exclusive rights free agents QB Tom Brandstater, DT Jermelle Cudjo, WR Dominique Curry, OG Bryan Mattison, FB Brit Miller, and SS Darian Stewart.
Of the six ERFAs tendered, Stewart saw the most action last season, though he struggled mightily in pass coverage as the Rams’ starting strong safety. These players will be brought to Rams camp, all competing for roster spots.
  • FA Tight End #85
    Rams waived WR Dominique Curry.
Undrafted out of Cheyney University (PA), Curry made a bigger impact on special teams than on offense the past two years. He failed to catch a single pass in St. Louis. Following the additions of Brian Quick and Chris Givens, Curry was squeezed out of a roster spot.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Rams WR Austin Pettis (knee) was limited again in Thursday’s practice.
The Rams are more optimistic on Pettis this week than Danario Alexander (hamstring), who has missed the last four games. Core special teamer Dominique Curry will be thrown into the offense if Pettis can’t go. There’s no fantasy value here regardless.
  • FA Tight End #85
Lions signed WR Dominique Curry, formerly of the Rams.
Curry appeared in all 16 games for the Rams last season, but as a pure special teamer. He played only 11 snaps on offense. His only real chance at cracking the Lions’ 53-man roster will be standing out on special teams in the preseason.
  • FA Tight End #85
    Lions waived WR/TE Dominique Curry.
A special teamer, Curry was attempting to make the switch from wide receiver to tight end. Curry goes to create roster room for TE Matt Veldman.
  • FA Tight End #85
The Lions have converted WR Dominique Curry to tight end.
It’s a lottery ticket with Brandon Pettigrew and Tony Scheffler entering contract years. The 6-foot-2, 223-pound Curry will be far from a guarantee to make the team. A journeyman third-year pro, Curry is catch-less in 18 career games.
  • FA Tight End #85
Rams rookie WR Dominique Curry likely suffered a torn ACL in Sunday’s win over the Redskins.
Curry was covering a punt when his right knee buckled. The undrafted free agent was buried on the receiver depth chart.
  • FA Tight End #85
Rams placed WR Dominique Curry on injured reserve with a torn right ACL, ending his season.
Curry impressively made the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Cheyney University in Pennsylvania due to his special teams play. Not much of a receiver prospect, however, he didn’t catch a pass in two games active.
  • FA Tight End #85
Dominique Curry left the Rams’ Week 3 game with a leg injury.
Curry was injured while covering a punt near the end of the first quarter. He looked to be in a good amount of pain and might not be able to return.
  • FA Tight End #85
Rams declared WR Dominique Curry, third QB Thaddeus Lewis, WR Brandon Gibson, CB Jerome Murphy, TE Fendi Onobun, G John Greco, DE Eugene Sims, and DT Jermelle Cudjo inactive for Week 1.
Curry was kept on the roster only to play special teams, and might be the first player to go if the Rams suffer an injury and need to make a move. Gibson’s deactivation is confirmation that the Rams prefer Mardy Gilyard and newly acquired Mark Clayton over him. It’s bad news for his 2010 outlook.
