  • I can still picture Scott Kingery functioning as a top-12 second baseman or shortstop in the second half of the season, but he would have been in the minors for the last few weeks now if not for J.P. Crawford’s injury and there’s still a good chance he will head there when Crawford returns from a forearm strain, which could happen this week. Unfortunately, Crawford probably won’t do much with the bat either, but he will give the defense a clear boost.
