When it comes to fantasy basketball, and the future, I have a fear:
That fear is that what Kawhi Leonard did this season — sitting out 22 games and then playing like a maniac en route to the NBA Finals — will become the blueprint for other stars. I may be wrong, and I hope I’m wrong, but I have to wonder if Giannis Antetokounmpo will take after Kawhi and sit out even more than the 10 games he missed this past season.
On the latest episode of the Rotoworld Fantasy Basketball Podcast, Steve Alexander joins me to hit this topic and a number of others as we conduct fantasy exit interviews for the Bucks and Blazers. We also discuss the outlooks going forward for impending free agents Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez and Malcolm Brogdon, and for Jusuf Nurkic as he attempts to come back from his brutal late-season leg injury.
