Evan Rodrigues, who has been filling in well as a top-six forward for Pittsburgh, is rostered in only 5% of Yahoo leagues. He has three goals and two assists following five games.

Now, let’s get into this week’s suggestions:
Andrew Copp (Winnipeg) - LW, RW - Rostered in 27% of Yahoo leagues
Copp has produced three goals and five points in five games this season. He has been logging heavy minutes in all situations for the Jets early in the 2021-22 campaign, while playing alongside talent the likes of Nikolaj Ehlers, Paul Stastny (rostered in 8% of Yahoo leagues) and Pierre-Luc Dubois. He also saw some time with Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor. Copp had a breakout year offensively in 2020-21 with 15 goals and 39 points in 55 matches. He also added 115 shots and 67 hits. It appears as though he is poised to build nicely off that performance.[[ad:athena]]
Dustin Brown (Los Angeles) - RW - Rostered in 17% of Yahoo leagues
Brown has accounted for two goals and five points through five games this campaign. He has been held off the scoresheet once during that span, while racking up 17 shots on target and 11 hits. Brown had a solid bounce-back performance in 2020-21 with 17 markers, 31 points, 129 shots and 85 hits across 49 appearances. He is off to a strong start again, while riding shotgun with Kings star forward Anze Kopitar, who has been firing on all cylinders. Brown, who also works on the top power-play unit, should be rostered in more leagues with Los Angeles set to play four times this coming week.
Andrew Mangiapane (Calgary) - LW, RW - Rostered in 13% of Yahoo leagues
Mangiapane garnered plenty of attention as a potential breakout candidate going into this season after he had 18 goals and 32 points in 56 games last year. He has begun the 2021-22 campaign with three goals in four appearances, while adding 13 shots, three blocks and three hits. He has mixing in on the second and third line so far this season and Calgary has a busy upcoming schedule with four games slated for this week.
Boone Jenner (Columbus) - C, LW - Rostered in 12% of Yahoo leagues
Jenner has found the back of the net four times in five games. The new Blue Jackets captain currently leads the team in goals and he is tied for first in the league in power-play goals with three. Jenner hasn’t picked up an assist yet, but he has been credited with 12 shots, four blocks and seven hits. He has been averaging a career-high 20:21 of ice time per match. Jenner has been centering the top line of Columbus at even strength between Patrik Laine and Jakub Voracek.
Jesperi Kotkaniemi (Carolina) - C, LW - Rostered in 9% of Yahoo leagues
Kotkaniemi finds himself in a great spot with the Hurricanes and he has been starting to produce offensively of late. He has one goal and one assist in his past two outings, while playing on the top line with Sebastian Aho and Teuvo Teravainen. The all-Finnish combination has generated plenty of scoring chances since being put together. Kotkaniemi has also posted eight shots, three blocks and six hits in four games with Carolina this campaign. His playing time has been climbing and his fantasy outlook has improved as well. He will get plenty of chances to continue his recent success with four games on tap for this week.

Anton Lundell (Florida) - C - Rostered in 9% of Yahoo leagues
Lundell has been contributing as Florida’s third-line center with two goals and three assists over a three-game point streak. He also has seven shots, eight blocks, two hits, six penalty minutes and a plus-4 rating so far. The 20-year-old forward is already earning the trust of his coaches and teammates, which bodes well for his future and his immediate fantasy outlook.
Jonathan Dahlen (San Jose) - C, LW - Rostered in 8% of Yahoo leagues
The long-awaited debut season in the NHL for Dahlen has gone well so far. He has three goals, 11 shots, one hit and two blocks in four games for the Sharks. Dahlen is tied for first in the NHL with two game winners in what has been a surprisingly strong start to the 2021-22 campaign for San Jose. He has been playing on the top line with Logan Couture and Timo Meier, who co-lead the team with seven points apiece. Dahlen, who is 23 years of age, has plenty of upside and a key spot on the roster during his rookie year and that makes him an intriguing option for fantasy managers.
Nate Schmidt (Winnipeg) - D - Rostered in 7% of Yahoo leagues
Schmidt has compiled six assists during a three-game point spree. He has three helpers on the power play over that span and he is tied for third overall with five primary assists. Schmidt has been seeing time on Winnipeg’s second unit during man-advantage situations. Additionally, he has five shots, seven blocks, two hits and a plus-5 rating in five outings. Schmidt has been averaging 21:28 of ice time per contest. He flirted with the 40-point mark back in 2017-18 in his first year with Vegas and could be on track for a similar offensive performance in 2021-22.
Derick Brassard (Philadelphia) - C, LW - Rostered in 7% of Yahoo leagues
Brassard has had a productive start with the Flyers with one goal and four assists in four games. He has been a good fit as the second-line center between Cam Atkinson and Joel Farabee. The trio has been Philadelphia’s best offensively out of the gate and if they continue to click then they could stay together once Kevin Hayes is cleared to return.
Troy Terry (Anaheim) - RW - Rostered in 1% of Yahoo leagues
Terry has accumulated two goals and four assists during a four-game point streak. He has notched one goal and one helper on the power play during that span. Terry, who took a step forward last year with 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists) in 48 appearances, appears to be trending in the right direction while seeing time as a top-six forward on the Ducks.
Honorable Mention:
J.T. Compher (Colorado) - C, RW - Rostered in 17% of Yahoo leagues
Compher has two goals and two assists in five games this year. He hasn’t hit the scoresheet for the past two matches, but he is an interesting player to monitor at the very least. Compher has been skating on the second line of the Avalanche and he has been occupying a spot on the top power-play combination, which grants exposure to the team’s top players.
