It was great to see the NHL season begin on Tuesday as life is trying to get back to normal around most of the world.
Most of the NHL players are vaccinated fully as Commissioner Gary Bettman said earlier this week that only four players in the league are not.
This will make things a lot easier for most players as there are serious consequences and restrictions for players who are not.
It is nice to see every arena will be able to have full capacity at the games (save for Vancouver at this time as they are still under capacity restrictions) as Toronto and Ottawa were given permission to have full crowds in the last week.
On the ice, some of the perceived bottom dwellers this season, gave better teams everything they could deal with and more as Buffalo upset Montreal while Anaheim upended Winnipeg and Detroit went to overtime before dropping a 7-6 decision to the Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning.
