Each week I provide a Perfect XI of my own for the upcoming gameweek, recommending 11 players to consider along with some honourable mentions. The players listed won’t necessarily be the exact 11 selected for my own Perfect XI fantasy side. The point of this column isn’t to tell you exactly who to pick; it’s to present some ideas and get your brain whirring. I’ll be listing a combination of the must-haves and slightly riskier options, alongside the odd hunch. Hopefully you’ll find this useful whether you’re playing Togga’s game or looking at potential transfers for your official Fantasy Premier League team.

Week 9 was was a slightly better one for my PXI team, but still not great. It lined-up as follows ...
Cech, Reid, Coleman, Bellerin, Clyne, Coutinho, Ozil, Payet, Sigurdsson, Walcott, Sanchez
Going heavy on Arsenal paid off in defence but not in attack as the Gunners drew a surprising blank against Middlesbrough. Thankfully Cech, Bellerin, Reid, Coutinho, Payet & Siggy all picked up decent points to push me to a par score of 135 for the week and back into 51st place in the overall standings.
Week 10 begins with a standard Saturday 12:30 BST (British Summer Time) kick off and all signs point to a comfortable away win for Arsene Wenger‘s side as they travel to rock-bottom Sunderland in the early game. It’s important to have your fantasy team locked in ready for this match but remember in Perfect XI you can swap out a player right up to one minute before their match kicks off and bring in an alternative player whose match is also yet to kick off. This flexibility will allow you to prevent the pain of a surprise benching or unreported last minute injury and a big fat zero. Ensure you keep your eyes on the RW PL Twitter account for line-ups one hour prior to matches.

And the picks ...
Firstly I must apologise. I always make write my intro and make my list of recommendations on Tuesday, before writing the analysis on Wednesday evening / Thursday morning. This week I did the Tuesday part before contending with my family travelling home from abroad, a sick wife, a sick baby and my birthday! Hence why it’s just a list with minimal analysis. We’ll be back to normal next week.
KEEPER
Heurelho Gomes - Watford should win and can keep a clean sheet. Plus he’ll be less owned than the usual suspects.
Honourable Mentions: Petr Cech at Sunderland, David De Gea at home to Burnley
DEFENDERS
Jose Holebas - In form and alongside Gomes can grab a clean sheet. Oh yeah, he’s playing wing-back, delivers wicked set pieces and is known to shoot from distance. Like the winner in Week 8.
Laurent Koscielny - A column favourite, the most likely Gunners defender to score and surely (shirley) Sunderland won’t score? Clean sheet claxon.
Charlie Daniels - Takes free kicks and has become an increasing threat from corners, plus Bournemouth are playing very well. Can beat Boro to nil.
Antonio Valencia - Man Utd are going through a bit of a rotten phase but my gut tells me it’s going to be a win and clean sheet here, with Valencia notching an assist.
Honourable Mentions: Seamus Coleman at home to West Ham, Kyle Walker at home to Leicester, Ryan Shawcross at home to Swansea
MIDFIELDERS
Mesut Ozil - Lads, lads. It’s Sunderland.
Junior Stanislas - He ruined lots of fantasy manager’s teams in Week 9 when he pulled out at the very last minute with injury but all reports point to fitness in Week 10. And he’ll be on penalties against a struggling side.
David Silva - I know, City are without a win in 2000 matches, but they will win eventually and I reckon it’ll be a heavy one. I’m tipping Mr Silva to be key. Unless Kevin De Bruyne is fit. Then go for the Belgian.
Philippe Coutinho - Palace have been a bogey team for Liverpool over the years, but Coutinho has been an absolute dream in fantasy games with complex scoring systems. Mainly due to greed. 15 points minimum here.
Honourable Mentions: Dele Alli at home to Leicester, Paul Pogba at home to Burnley, Marko Arnautovic at home to Swansea
STRIKERS
Alexis Sanchez - See Ozil, Mesut. When it comes to picking an Arsenal forward against Sunderland I feel he’s better suited than Walcott away from home. How confident am I? Sanchez will be my FPL captain.
Troy Deeney - It’s Watford’s captain Deeney’s first column appearance of the season, and the reason is simple. I think he’s going to score well against Middlesbrough, with a goal and bumper fantasy points.
Honourable Mentions: Romelu Lukaku at home to West Ham, Callum Wilson away at Middlesbrough, Sergio Aguero away at West Brom
