    Colts waived/injured WR Gary Jennings.
Jennings will revert to IR if he clears waivers. The Colts signed TE Graham Adomitis to replace Jennings on the 90-man roster.

    Dolphins waived WR Gary Jennings.
Jennings was initially in the running for the Dolphins’ No. 5 receiver spot. His release bodes especially poorly for his future since it comes after Allen Hurns and Albert Wilson opted out of the 2020 season. If Jennings can’t make this receiver corps, he is going to be up against it anywhere.

The Miami Herald considers Chester Rogers the leading candidate for the slot receiver job.
With Albert Wilson and Allen Hurns opting out, Rogers has a chance to step into three-wide sets despite not signing until training camp. Isaiah Ford and Gary Jennings are also slot options. It’s worth noting the Herald left return man Jakeem Grant off the list. None of the Dolphins receivers behind Preston Williams and DeVante Parker are fantasy relevant.

The Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson suggests WR Gary Jennings will compete with Allen Hurns and Isaiah Ford for the fifth and sixth receiver jobs.
Jennings was claimed by the Dolphins off waivers from the Seahawks in November but was injured in his first game with Miami. He’s currently learning the intricacies of playing from the slot, where the team envisions his 6'1/214 frame coming in handy to create mismatches on smaller, slower players. DeVante Parker, second-year UDFA Preston Williams, and Albert Wilson are still expected to man Miami’s three-wide sets in their season opener against the Patriots.

Dolphins claimed WR Gary Jennings off waivers from the Seahawks.
Miami brought Jennings in for a pre-draft visit before he struggled across the board as the No. 120 overall pick in Seattle. Jennings (6'1/214) still showed a lot at his workout in Indy, running a 4.42 40 with 83rd-percentile cumulative SPARQ results. The Dolphins have an opening for (any) receiving help with Preston Williams (knee, IR) vacating 99 air yards and 7.5 targets per game.

    Seahawks waived WR Gary Jennings.
After an aborted waive of Jennings in September, the Seahawks did all they could to keep the No. 120 overall pick on the roster. They ran out of options after claiming Josh Gordon off waivers. Jennings possess blazing speed to go along with a 6-foot-1, 216-pound frame, but it is a major red flag that he could not get on the field for (then) receiver-needy Seattle. Still only 22, Jennings’ athletic profile will undoubtedly earn him a second chance.

Updating a previous report, Seahawks WR Gary Jennings has not been waived.
It was believed the Seahawks were cutting Jennings to clear a roster spot for practice squad call-up Adrian Colbert, but instead they waived undrafted rookie Bryan Mone. Jennings has yet to see the field this year.

Seahawks waived fourth-round WR Gary Jennings.
Seattle signed S Adrian Colbert from their practice squad in a corresponding move. Jennings came in touted after displaying a 4.42 40-time and 83rd-percentile SPARQ score out of West Virginia but ultimately derailed his immediate opportunity by reporting to camp out of shape and struggling with the scheme. Only 22, Jennings will inarguably receive another chance with a new suitor in the near future.

NBC Sports’ Joe Fann believes Seahawks fourth-round WR Gary Jennings “has been very quiet in camp so far.”
With Doug Baldwin’s retirement, the Seahawks attacked receivers in the 2019 NFL Draft. D.K. Metcalf was the notable pick, but Jennings was also expected to compete for snaps as a rookie. It sounds like Jennings hasn’t taken advantage of the opportunity yet. Perhaps he can get things going in the next preseason game. Jennings has 4.42 speed and was very productive as a vertical-slot receiver at West Virginia, so there’s some sleeper appeal.
  • FA Wide Receiver #23
Seahawks signed fourth-round WR Gary Jennings, sixth-round RB Travis Homer, sixth-round DT Demarcus Christmas and seventh-round WR John Ursua to four-year contracts.
Jennings was one of three receivers drafted by the Seahawks as they adjust to life without Doug Baldwin. Jennings showed NFL-level athletic chops at the Combine, blazing 4.42 with 83rd-percentile cumulative SPARQ results. Able to create separation and outrun defensive backs, Jennings was clocked as one of this year’s fastest Senior Bowl invitees by the NFL’s new Zebra technology after being unfairly stereotyped as a product of Mike Leach disciple Dana Holgorsen’s Air Raid scheme.
