Watch: Hurley bashes Spieth in hilarious political ad

Thumbnail

Billy Hurley and Jordan Spieth are currently entrenched in an election to decide who will be the next Chairman of the PGA Tour’s Player Advisory Council (PAC). And with the deadline to vote quickly approaching on Tuesday, Hurley pulled out all the stops in his latest political advertisement.

The satirical attack ad pulls no punches on “one of golf’s elites,” saying the three-time major champ “can’t relate to the common man” and uses old quotes out of context to label him “disgusting,” “pathetic” and a “thief,” before going on to tout Hurley’s qualifications with his background in the military.

The whole video really is worth a watch:

For those of you who don’t know, I am running against @JordanSpieth for Chairman of the @PGATOUR Player Advisory Council. One final push for the voting that ends tomorrow pic.twitter.com/dO2uLiTg3B — Billy Hurley III (@BillyHurley3) February 12, 2018

And in case anyone thought Spieth might take offense, think again.

He responded on Twitter, letting Hurley know he’d swung his vote.

Whoever wins the election will replace Davis Love III next year on the Policy Board for a three-year term through 2021.

The 16-member PAC advises and consults with the Policy Board and Tour commissioner Jay Monahan on “issues affecting the Tour.”
