    Eagles released RB Jordan Howard.
The Eagles now have just three running backs on their roster: Miles Sanders, Boston Scott, and Kenny Gainwell. The Eagles also waived/released DB Andrew Adams, OT Le’Raven Clark, DL Hassan Ridgeway, TE Richard Rodgers, DB Kevon Seymour, DB Grayland Arnold, OG Kayode Awosika, WR Travis Fulgham, WR John Hightower, RB Jason Huntley, DB Craig James, DL Matt Leo, OG Iosua Opeta, WR Andre Patton, C Ross Pierschbacher, DB Elijah Riley, S JaCoby Stevens, and DL Raequan Williams.

  • FA Safety #30
Eagles signed sixth-round S JaCoby Stevens to a four-year contract.
Landon Dickerson remains the only rookie the Eagles have yet to get under contract. Stevens (6'1/212) was a three-year starter at LSU who earned second-team All-SEC honors during the 2019 campaign. He failed to repeat the feat in 2020, however, as the entire LSU defense took a step back. Given his size and propensity to be aligned down in the box, Stevens may serve as more of a linebacker at the next level. His tackling is phenomenal and many of his best coverage snaps come against tight ends and running backs. Stevens is also verifiably explosive, notching 90th-plus percentile marks in both the broad and vertical jumps.

Perhaps Stevens could try to commit to a switch to linebacker after a few years at safety.
