    James Dykstra has signed with the Lotte Marines of Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball.
    Dykstra heads overseas after spending the 2023 season in the independent Atlantic League, registering a 5.40 ERA, 1.57 WHIP, and 19/12 K/BB ratio over 21 2/3 innings. The 33-year-old spent time with the White Sox, Rangers, Blue Jays, and Phillies but never appeared in the major leagues.

    Phillies released RHP James Dykstra.
    Dykstra signed a minor league contract with the Phillies out of the independent Mexican League back in July and made 17 relief appearances for Triple-A Lehigh Valley prior to being released. The 31-year-old journeyman has yet to reach the majors.

    Blue Jays signed RHP James Dykstra to a minor league contract.
    The 29-year-old hurler spent the 2019 season pitching for a pair of teams in the independent Atlantic League, compiling a 3.38 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 56/21 K/BB ratio over 58 2/3 innings. He’ll add minor league bullpen depth for the Jays.

    Rangers acquired RHP James Dykstra from the White Sox for cash considerations.
    The 26-year-old hurler has spent his four minor league seasons in the White Sox organization, most recently compiling a 4.93 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 66/39 K/BB ratio across 102 1/3 innings at Double-A Birmingham in 2016. He’ll add starting pitching depth to the Rangers’ organization.
