Horne

Horne is also the Chiefs’ No. 3, “emergency” quarterback behind Tyler Palko and rookie Ricky Stanzi. A former undrafted free agent from UMass, Horne has zero career receptions through two seasons.

Horne was a practice-squad holdover trying to prove himself to new OC Brian Daboll. Two preseason catches for 43 yards and a touchdown weren’t enough.

A special teamer, Horne had registered zero tackles in three games this season. A veteran of the Chiefs’ practice squad, that’s likely where he’ll be headed provided he clears waivers.

Horne was an undrafted free agent out of UMass last season that has spent the majority of his NFL career on the Chiefs’ practice squad. He’ll contribute on special teams if he’s active Sunday.

Neither Horne nor Tucker have any fantasy value whatsoever as Kansas City’s fifth wideout.

Horne played opposite Giants’ preseason sensation Victor Cruz at UMass in 2009. He lost out to Verran Tucker for the final receiver spot coming out of camp and spent the majority of the season on the practice squad.

Horne -- who book ended Giants preseason sensation Victor Cruz at UMass -- caught a six-yard touchdown pass. More of a special teams prospect, Horne does appear to be making a case for the Chiefs’ No. 4 receiver spot. His competitors include Terrence Copper, Lance Long, and Verran Tucker.
