NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports the Ravens are hiring Jerry Rosburg “in a role focused on game management.”
Rosburg worked with the Ravens from 2008 to 2018, serving as the special teams coordinator and assistant head coach. Former assistant head coach Anthony Weaver left last week to serve as the Dolphins’ defensive coordinator, leaving an opening on the staff for Rosburg to fill. Whether he’s officially named the assistant head coach is anybody’s guess, but the Ravens clearly value Rosburg’s presence and aim to put him to good use next season. Rosburg last worked with the Broncos in 2022. Interestingly, he was brought on in-season to help Nathaniel Hackett with clock management, and eventually took over as Denver’s interim head coach after Hackett was fired with two games still to go.
