Ex-Packers and Bears OG Josh Sitton has announced his retirement after 11 seasons.
A 2008 fourth-round pick, Sitton went on to become an every-game starter for the Packers from 2009-15. Sitton was a four-time Pro Bowler and 2014 All-Pro. In a highly-surprising move, he was released at final cuts in 2016. He went on to have two more solid years for the Bears, though he began to struggle with injury. 2018 was an injury washout in Miami. Sitton turns 33 in June.

    Dolphins released LG Josh Sitton.
The move clears $5 million against the cap, which was a no-brainer for the tanking Dolphins. Sitton played one game with the Dolphins before blowing out his shoulder last season. He turns 33 in June and it’s unclear if he’ll keep playing.

The Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero reports LG Josh Sitton expects to be released by the Dolphins.
Sitton signed a two-year pact last offseason but lasted one game with the Dolphins before tearing his rotator cuff and heading to I.R. Sitton turns 33 this summer and has no business being part of Miami’s total rebuild.

Dolphins LG Josh Sitton will miss the remainder of the season with a torn rotator cuff in his left shoulder.
Signed to a two-year deal after he was released by the Bears, 32-year-old Sitton lasts one game with his new squad. Sitton had previously dealt with right shoulder issues. Miami will replace Sitton in the lineup with veteran Ted Larsen. It’s a significant downgrade for an already-weak offensive line.

Packers RG Josh Sitton (knee) could make his return against the Chiefs Sunday.
Sitton has been out since spraining his right knee against the Lions on Thanksgiving. The 13-0 Packers will likely exercise caution as they steer their ship toward the playoffs. Before going down, Sitton was having an All-Pro caliber season.

Packers RG Josh Sitton left Thursday’s game against the Lions in the second quarter with a knee injury.
Sitton was matching up with and containing Ndamukong Suh early on. He’s considered questionable to return and is standing on the sideline with an icepack on his knee. Evan Dietrich-Smith has come on at right guard.

Josh Sitton is just the third Packers guard in the last 40 years to make the Pro Bowl.
The late Gale Gillingham and Marco Rivera are the others. Over the last two seasons, Sitton has established himself as an elite pass-blocker and cornerstone of the Packers’ offensive line. With Evan Dietrich-Smith stepping in at center and T.J. Lang emerging at left guard, there’s reason to believe this unit can have a bounce-back season in 2013. They allowed Aaron Rodgers to get sacked a league-high 51 times in 2012.
  • FA Tackle #75
The Packers are moving Bryan Bulaga from right tackle to left tackle this season.
That’s not the only switch Green Bay is making along its five-man front. Josh Sitton and T.J. Lang are flipping guard spots with Sitton moving to the left side. Bulaga has never started a game on the blindside in his three-year career, and he struggled a bit in 2012. He gave up four sacks in nine games before a hip injury ended his season in Week 9. Incumbent left tackle Marshall Newhouse gave up a whopping 11 sacks last season, and he’ll likely compete with a handful of other players for the right tackle gig.

Free agent OG Josh Sitton will visit the Bears.
If he leaves without a contract, his next visit will be with New Orleans. Green Bay’s decision to move on from Sitton was a head-scratcher and now the division-rival Bears have a chance to hit the Packers where it hurts. The Bears are vulnerable at left guard with second-round rookie Cody Whitehair set to replace Matt Slauson. If he chooses the Bears, Sitton and Kyle Long would make a formidable duo at guard.

Yahoo!'s Charles Robinson reports “nothing crazy happened” between the Packers and free agent OG Josh Sitton.
Robinson reports the Packers knew Sitton was “irritated’ he was entering his contract year without getting a new deal, so they decided to move on. If true, it is an extremely odd decision by the Packers, who will now face a serious downgrade at left guard. Sitton will not be on the street for long.
