The Inquirer’s Jeff McLane reports the Eagles are not expected to add a receiver this week.
Perhaps that means Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) will return to face the Colts, but Doug Pederson called him “week to week” on Monday. If he sits, the No. 2 job likely will fall to Kamar Aiken, who played 78 percent of the snaps in Week 2. He is a name to know in deep leagues.
  • FA Wide Receiver #13
The Bills have ruled out WR Naaman Roosevelt (shoulder), SS George Wilson (neck), and K Rian Lindell (shoulder) for Week 12 against the Jets.
Recently promoted Kamar Aiken is expected to dress as the No. 5 receiver behind Brad Smith and Ruvell Martin. Still learning the offense, Derek Hagan is believed to be sixth on the depth chart. Rookie Da’Norris Searcy racked up a team-high 11 tackles starting in place of Wilson last week.
  • FA Wide Receiver #80
Bills signed WR Derek Hagan, formerly of the Raiders.
The Bills are desperate for depth after losing Donald Jones, and Hagan has the skills and experience to step in immediately on the outside as well as special teams. He could leapfrog Naaman Roosevelt quickly, allowing David Nelson to return to the slot. Give Hagan a game or two before considering him on the waiver wire.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Bills signed WR Kamar Aiken from their practice squad.
Undrafted out of Central Florida, Aiken has been with the Bills since training camp. He caught seven passes for 97 yards in preseason action. Aiken will likely be limited to special teams as he eases in.
  • FA Wide Receiver
BuffaloBills.com expects Kamar Aiken to push for the Bills’ final receiver spot.
An undrafted free agent out of UCF last season, Aiken was active for two games, but spent the majority of the year on the practice squad. Aiken has good size at 6-foot-2, 213 pounds, but is going to face a very steep challenge cracking the Bills’ crowded receiver corps. He’s not on the dynasty-league radar.
  • FA Wide Receiver
ESPN Boston thinks it would be a “mistake to overlook” Kamar Aiken’s “potential to be a factor” in the Patriots’ receiver competition.
Aiken, originally signed by the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Central Florida in 2011, has appeared in three NFL games and has zero catches to his name. He does have an intriguing blend of size (6-foot-2, 213) and speed (4.45 forty), but we wouldn’t expect him to be a serious candidate for snaps.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Patriots signed WR Kamar Aiken and DB Malcolm Williams from the team’s practice squad.
Aiken was promoted in advance of last week’s game before being waived on Monday. Williams recorded a tackle in one game for New England earlier in the season. Both players will be limited to special teams if they’re active on game day.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Patriots signed WR Kamar Aiken from the team’s practice squad.
Aiken was signed by the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Central Florida in 2011. He’ll slot in at the back of the pack as New England’s fifth receiver.
  • FA Wide Receiver
    Patriots released WR Kamar Aiken.
It clears a roster spot for Jermaine Cunningham to return from suspension. Aiken was just signed off the practice squad this week. The Patriots also released FB James Develin in a corresponding move.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Patriots waived or released WR Kamar Aiken, CB Brandon Jones, LB Niko Koutouvides, CB LeQuan Lewis and LS Mike Zupancic.
Aiken has made three career appearances, but caught zero passes. A nine-year veteran, Koutouvides appeared in 14 games as a special teamer last season, but played just nine snaps on defense. Lewis will look to latch on elsewhere as a special teamer.
