Vikings signed sixth-round CB Kendall James to a four-year contract.
A second-team D-IAA All-American as a senior, James ran 4.44 at the Combine with a 39-inch vertical. His size and strength limitations make him best suited as a slot corner. James will compete with sixth- and seventh-round picks Antone Exum and Jabari Price for one or two roster spots.

Vikings selected Maine CB Kendall James with the No. 184 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.
James (5-foot-10 1/2, 180) was a second-team D-IAA All-American as a senior and finished his career with eight interceptions across 36 starts. A quick-twitch athlete, James ran 4.44 at the Combine with a 39-inch vertical. Due to short arms (29 1/2") and a lack of bulk, James may be ticketed for slot corner only in the pros. He does have experience as a special teams gunner.
