Steelers selected Iowa DT Logan Lee with the No. 178 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Since earning a starting job in 2021 Lee (6'4/281) averaged 52 tackles and garnered three sacks in each of those seasons. His frame suggests a bit of a tweener build, despite having lined up on the interior for the majority of his college career (95% of snaps in 2023 according to PFF). Lee did well for himself during the pre-draft process, posting a RAS in the 93rd percentile. Having primarily played tight end in high school, Lee’s physical gains during his college career are impressive. However, he will need to further augment his build in order to be effective on the inside at the next level. His appearance suggests that there is room for the added mass, and is very deliberate in his hand placement while anchoring well against much bigger blockers. His arsenal includes a usable sumo move as well as a measured arm-over. His technique is well coached, as we have come to expect from the Iowa defensive coaching staff. As with many tweeners, he is athletic for an interior player but lacks the zip or bend that would give Lee a leg up in pass rush. Rather, his game revolves around putting himself in good play leverage by moving well laterally without giving up too much in positioning. Lee possesses a disciplined approach, albeit one that lacks creativity. His role probably best translates as a run-stopping five tech in the pros.

Iowa freshman TE Logan Lee (undisclosed) was not dressed out for Tuesday’s practice as the Hawkeyes prepare for Friday’s San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl matchup with USC.
Lee (6'5/251) and redshirt sophomore WR Oliver Martin are two of the players who are not dressed out for practice, and the reasons why are unknown at this time. The freshman tight end did not appear in any games during the regular season, so he’s well below the four-game redshirt threshold.

Iowa three-star 2019 verbal TE commit Logan Lee was named the WR/TE group MVP at the Rivals 3 Stripe camp regional in Chicago over the weekend.
“Lee is never going to be a burner, but he is a technician who plays faster due to his knowledge of the position, route-running and how to set up defenders,” writes Rivals analyst Josh Helmholdt of the 6-foot-5, 225-pounder out of Orion, Illinois. His performance in Chicago on Sunday may have been enough to help boost him up the Rivals board when the next incarnation of their rankings are released. Currently, he ranks as the No. 20 prospect in the state of Illinois for the 2019 cycle.
