Colts signed LB Mario Harvey to a reserve/future contract.

An undrafted rookie out of Marshall, Harvey never made it onto an active roster in 2011. He’ll likely be little more than a camp body for the Colts.

Colts placed LB Mario Harvey (undisclosed) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Primarily a special teamer, Harvey had appeared in all 12 games this season, playing 72 snaps on defense. The nature and extent of his injury are unclear, but he should be back to compete for a roster spot in 2014.

    Jets waived LB Mario Harvey.

Harvey signed a reserve/futures deal in January. He appeared in 25 games with the Colts from 2012-14. Getting waived at this stage of the offseason suggests Harvey doesn’t have much of an NFL future.

The Colts are moving LB Mario Harvey to fullback.

Harvey (6-foot, 264) has appeared in 25 games as a backup linebacker and special teamer the past two seasons. OC Pep Hamilton described Harvey as “probably pound-for-pound one of the most physical guys on our football team.” He’ll compete with Stanley Havili, who played 336 offensive snaps last season, but graded out as a bottom-five lead blocker at Pro Football Focus.
