Cowboys declared QB Will Grier, CB Maurice Canady, S Israel Mukuamu, OL Matt Farniok, and WR Simi Fehoko inactive for Week 17.
The Cowboys head into Week 17 as one of the healthiest teams in the league. Tony Pollard (foot) practiced in full all week.

Cowboys CB Maurice Canady will opt-out of the 2020 season.
Canady played for the Jets and Ravens last season, starting three of the 13 games he suited up for. The Cowboys’ cornerback group remains full of questions after Byron Jones’ departure in free agency.

Cowboys signed CB Maurice Canady to a one-year contract.
Canady played five games with the Ravens last season before being waived and signing on with the Jets in November. Although he wouldn’t ordinarily start for most teams, the Cowboys are in a dire position following the losses of Byron Jones and Jeff Heath in free agency. It would not be shocking to see Canady land in Dallas’ starting lineup next year.

Ravens activated CB Maurice Canady (thigh) from injured reserve.
Canady has been out since Week 1. He’ll add depth to Baltimore’s secondary.

Ravens placed CB Maurice Canady on injured reserve with a thigh injury.
Canady has had an injury-marred career. LB Albert McClellan was signed in a corresponding roster move.

Ravens placed CB Maurice Canady on injured reserve with a thigh injury.
Canady suffered torn cartilage in his knee during one of the first practices of camp. He is eligible to return Week 9. Baltimore re-signed WR Chris Matthews in a corresponding move.

Ravens second-year CB Maurice Canady is considered the front-runner for nickel duties heading into training camp.
Canady was a sixth-round pick last year but didn’t play a single snap as a rookie. Following the loss of Tavon Young to a torn ACL in the spring, the position is wide open. Lardarius Webb and Brandon Boykin figure to be Canady’s fiercest competition if healthy. Canady reportedly had a “strong performance” at OTAs and minicamp.

Ravens CB Maurice Canady has been diagnosed with torn cartilage in his knee.
He got hurt at one of the first practices of Ravens camp. The team was hoping Canady would claim its slot corner vacancy between Jimmy Smith and Brandon Carr, but Baltimore may now have to turn to Ladarius Webb there. Coach John Harbaugh said Sunday he doesn’t think Canady’s injury is year ending.

Ravens selected Virginia CB Maurice Canady with the No. 209 overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft.
Canady (6'1/193) made 32 starts for the Cavs, compiling 29 pass breakups, five interceptions, and four forced fumbles. Canady’s draft stock received a boost at the Combine, where he ran 4.49 with a 38-inch vertical and 10-foot-4 broad jump. Canady’s game tape is more worrisome; he was torched for ten TD passes the last two seasons and shows an aversion to contact in run support. Canady has some starting-caliber traits, but was a fringe-NFL prospect at UVA. He’s a boom-bust pick who appears more likely to bust.
