Seahawks signed No. 242 overall pick T Michael Bowie to a four-year contract.
Bowie transferred to Northeastern Oklahoma State after being kicked off Oklahoma State’s roster, where he was a starter. He’ll be nothing more than a developmental prospect at right tackle.

Seahawks selected Northeastern Oklahoma State T Michael Bowie with the No. 242 overall pick.
Bowie was a starter for Oklahoma State prior to transferring this season. Coach Mike Gundy said his removal from the team was due to a violation of unspecified team rules. He is nothing more than a developmental right tackle prospect.
  • FA Tackle #61
Seahawks seventh-round OT Michael Bowie suffered what is believed to be a “serious” shoulder injury in Thursday’s preseason finale.
Bowie will probably miss a few weeks. He’s had an impressive training camp, earning the backup spot behind Breno Giacomini at right tackle.

Browns placed OT Michael Bowie on the reserve/retired list.
Bowie is calling it a career after missing the last two seasons with shoulder injuries. He appeared in nine games for the Seahawks in 2013, spending time at both right tackle and right guard. Bowie entered the league as a seventh-round draft pick out of Northeastern State.

Giants signed OT Michael Bowie to a reserve/future contract.
The signing occurred two weeks ago, but we find it notable. The former Seahawks draft pick started nine games as a 2013 rookie before injuries sent his career off the rails. He spent a couple years in Cleveland but could never get healthy and actually stepped away from the game back in August. Bowie is ready to attempt a comeback, and tackle is one of the Giants’ bigger needs.
  • FA Tackle #61
Giants OT Michael Bowie has been charged with domestic violence.
Bowie won’t travel with the team for their second preseason game. It’s a bad development for a player on a reserve/future contract. With a looming suspension, Bowie’s Giants and NFL career are in jeopardy.
  • FA Tackle #61
    Giants waived OT Michael Bowie.
Bowie was charged with domestic violence this past weekend and has predictably been cut. GM Jerry Reese wouldn’t rule out a return down the line.
  • FA Tackle #61
The state of Oklahoma has opted not to file domestic violence charges against free agent OT Michael Bowie.
Bowie was in hot water back in August and was subsequently cut by the Giants. Now that he’s in the clear, Bowie may get another chance in New York.
  • FA Tackle #61
Browns GM Ray Farmer believes OL Michael Bowie (shoulder) could be a major factor this season.
Claimed off waivers in August, Bowie missed all of 2014 recovering from shoulder surgery. He’s expected to be ready for the start of training camp, where he’ll compete for a swing role behind contract-year RT Mitchell Schwartz. The Browns could also give Bowie a look at guard.
  • FA Tackle #61
Browns OT Michael Bowie (shoulder) is expected to be ready for the start of training camp.
Bowie was claimed on waivers in August and missed the entire year to shoulder surgery. He graded as a top-15 run blocker by PFF over nine 2013 starts. Bowie played right tackle in Seattle, but could move to guard when healthy.
