Rangers signed SS Alan Trejo to a minor league contract.
What’s that saying about letting something go and seeing if it comes back to you? Trejo returns to the Rangers organization after a brief 13-game odyssey with the Rockies. The 28-year-old infielder is merely emergency depth at this juncture of his career, but it’s interesting to see him back with the club that traded him in late April.

Alan Trejo has elected free agency.
Trejo heads to the open market after passing through waivers unclaimed following his removal from Colorado’s 40-man roster. The 28-year-old infielder went 7-for-40 with one RBI over a 13-game stint with the Rockies. He should be able to latch on somewhere on a minor league deal.

Rockies designated INF Alan Trejo for assignment.
Trejo was an unmitigated disaster at the plate for the Rockies, slashing .175/.190/.225 with zero homers, one RBI and a 7/1 K/BB ratio in his 43 plate appearances. The most likely scenario is that he’ll pass through waivers unclaimed and continue to serve as extra infield depth for the Rockies at Triple-A Albuquerque.

Rockies acquired INF Alan Trejo from the Rangers for cash considerations.
The trade is now official. Trejo jumps directly onto Colorado’s active roster as a reserve infielder, a role he’s occupied over the last five years when he got into 173 contests for the Rockies, hitting .228 with nine homers and six steals during that span.

Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports that the Rangers are trading infielder Alan Trejo to the Rockies.
The move won’t become official until Sunday. Trejo will then be activated for the series finale against the Reds. Trejo will be a depth option for Colorado, and even while playing his home games in Coors Field, there’s no reason to consider him in fantasy formats.

Rangers reassigned SS Nick Ahmed, C Tucker Barnhart, RHP David Buchanan, RHP JT Chargois, RHP Adrian Houser, RHP Joe Barlow, RHP Matt Festa, INF Alan Trejo, C Chad Wallach and OF Alejandro Osuna to minor league camp.
Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News adds that Ahmed and Barnhart are still weighing the possibility of opting out of their minor league deals to hit free agency. There are no real surprises here among the latest batch of cuts, but Osuna stands out since he made a really strong impression this spring to put himself in position as an option for the Rangers outfield mix at some point later this year.

Rangers signed INF Alan Trejo to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
Trejo really struggled in his limited action at the big league level in 2024, slashing an abysmal .143/.182/.143 with zero homers, one RBI and a 15/2 K/BB ratio in 67 plate appearances with the Rockies. He has shown to be viable infield depth in the past though and makes for a quality depth addition for the Rangers.

Dodgers signed INF Alan Trejo to a minor league contract.
Trejo will head to Triple-A Oklahoma City after refusing an outright assignment last weekend from the Rockies after being designated for assignment. The 28-year-old infielder struggled this season in the majors, but he represents some solid emergency organizational depth for Los Angeles.

Alan Trejo has elected free agency.
The 28-year-old infielder was designated for assignment on Friday, but after passing through waivers unclaimed he refused an outright assignment to Triple-A Albuquerque and will instead peddle his wares on the open market. Trejo his just .143/.182/.143 in 67 plate appearances with the Rockies this season.

Rockies designated INF Alan Trejo for assignment.
Trejo lost his 40-man spot over the winter, only to make the Rockies as non-roster player this spring. Alas, he hit just .143/.182/.143 in 67 plate appearances in his utility role. Trejo is a fine defender, but since he has so little to offer offensively, he’ll probably clear waivers again.
