Pirates acquired RHP Andrew Moore from the Padres for RHP Hunter Stratton.

Moore has posted a 3.46 ERA and 62/43 K/BB ratio across 39 innings over 30 relief outings in the upper minors this season. He came over from the Reds in the Connor Joe trade back in 2025.

Padres acquired RHP Andrew Moore and cash considerations from the Reds for 1B/OF Connor Joe.

It’s clear that Joe had fallen out of favor with the Padres so they were fine to flip him for anything that they could get at this point. Moore, 25, posted a 4.15 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and a 12/8 K/BB ratio over 8 2/3 innings in six appearances at Double-A Chattanooga. He’ll add bullpen depth in the upper minors for the Padres.

Reds acquired RHP Andrew Moore, INF Noelvi Marte, INF Edwin Arroyo and RHP Levi Stoudt from the Mariners for Luis Castillo.

The 22-year-old right-hander was a 14th round selection by the Mariners from the 2021 draft class. He has impressed at Single-A Modesto this season, registering a 1.95 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 58/17 K/BB ratio across 32 1/3 innings. He needs to harness the command still, but this is the type of arm that could quickly rise through the system and find himself in a late-inning role in the Reds bullpen.
