Warner spent last season in the Mariners’ minor league system, finishing with a an underwhelming 5.21 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 72/32 K/BB ratio across 86 1/3 innings (33 appearances, 12 starts) for Triple-A Tacoma. The 28-year-old lefty has yet to reach the majors and is merely organizational pitching depth at this stage of his career.

Warner was cut loose by the Cardinals earlier this month and quickly latched on with the Mariners. The 27-year-old left-hander posted a solid 3.34 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 75/22 K/BB ratio across 72 2/3 innings (41 appearances, five starts) last year at Triple-A Memphis.
