Rangers acquired LHP Avery Weems from the White Sox in the Lance Lynn trade.
Dane Dunning is the centerpiece of the return for the Rangers, but Weems is a name on the rise in prospect ranks. The 23-year-old was a sixth-round pick in 2019 before posting a 2.09 ERA and 74/10 K/BB ratio over 60 1/3 innings in rookie ball. His stuff has reportedly improved since then.
