Brayan Rocchio went 1-for-3 and smacked an RBI triple on Friday night, helping to lead the Guardians to a one-run victory over the Tigers.
Rocchio drove in Patrick Bailey with his run-scoring triple off of Jack Flaherty in the second inning, extending the Guardians’ early lead to 2-0. That would be his only hit in three at-bats on the evening. For the season, the 25-year-old shortstop is slashing a solid .277/.357/.405 with five homers, 32 RBI and 11 stolen bases.

Brayan Rocchio went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against the Rangers on Saturday.
Rocchio took Jack Leiter deep for a solo home run in the fifth inning, then later knocked a base hit in the sixth. The two-hit game snaps a small, three-game hitless streak. Meanwhile, the home run is his first since May 17 and his fifth of the season. The 25-year-old infielder has enjoyed a strong season so far, hitting .283/.361/.410 with 28 runs scored, 29 RBI, and 11 steals across 235 plate appearances.

Brayan Rocchio went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored as the Guardians fell 9-4 to the Red Sox on Sunday.
Rocchio is now batting .293 to go along with four homers and nine stolen bases. He nearly cut his strikeout rate in half, dropping it from 20 percent to 12 percent so far in 2026. The well-rounded production with everyday playing time has been enormously valuable in deeper roto leagues.

Brayan Rocchio singled three times and was hit by a pitch Tuesday against the Nationals.
Rocchio appeared in 281 major league games from 2023-25 and collected three hits in four of them. This year, he’s already done it six times while batting .299/.382/.420. Statcast thinks he’s overachieving somewhat, as his exit velocity numbers haven’t improved at all, but it definitely helps the cause that he has his strikeout rate down to 11.4 percent. His career mark was 21.3 percent coming into the year.

Brayan Rocchio finished 3-for-3 with two doubles and a steal Thursday in the Guardians’ 3-1 win over the Tigers.
That’s a four-game sweep for Cleveland. Rocchio is hitting a rather stunning .290 with a 20/19 K/BB in 188 plate appearances. Last year, he had a 77/22 K/BB, giving him an .290 OBP that matched his career average. His OBP is .376 right now. In spite of his success, he’s continued to hit ninth for the most part. The Guardians aren’t messing with what’s working.

Brayan Rocchio went 2-for-3 with a homer and two runs scored in Sunday’s win over the Reds.
Rocchio’s solo shot was a fourth-inning blast off Brady Singer, his fourth of the season. The switch-hitting infielder has slightly increased his bat speed this year while cutting his strikeout rate in half, down from 20 percent in 2025 to 10 percent so far this season. He’s now batting .285 with a .763 OPS and swiping more bags thanks to the extra times he’s been on base. He’s already up to eight, nearing his career-high of 10. Rocchio began the year as Cleveland’s primary second baseman but took over the full-time shortstop role once Gabriel Arias went on the IL.

Brayan Rocchio went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a steal against the Rays on Wednesday.
It’s already Rocchio’s third three-hit game of the year. That’s as many as he totaled in 258 games between 2024 and ’25. He’s batting .283/.360/.404, and he should be in line to remain the Guardians’ shortstop after Gabriel Arias returns, assuming that Travis Bazzana sticks at second base then.

Brayan Rocchio went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs on Sunday as the Guardians bested the visiting Orioles.
Rocchio plated Juan Brito with an RBI single off of Trevor Rogers in the fifth inning that extended the Guardians’ early advantage to 5-0. He then tacked on some valuable insurance with a two-out, two-run single in the eighth that made it an 8-4 ballgame. For the season, the 25-year-old infielder is now hitting .254/.359/.418 with three homers and 14 RBI in his first 79 plate appearances.

Brayan Rocchio hit a three-run homer off the Orioles’ Dean Kremer in Saturday’s victory.
Rocchio hit a fly 99.6 mph with a 37-degree launch angle in his first at-bat for a 350-foot flyout to right center. After recalibrating, he pulled his next fly, hit 99.7 mph with a 35-degree launch angle, just a little more to right for a 357-foot homer. And fortunately for the Guardians, they had two runners on base at the time. Ignoring the Rocchio homer and a solo shot from Bo Naylor in the eighth, they had only one other baserunner all game in the 4-2 win.

Brayan Rocchio went 0-for-4 and committed an error at shortstop in the loss to the Braves on Sunday.
The Guardians preferred Gabriel Arias to Rocchio at short before he got hurt, and they have a second baseman of the future in Travis Bazzana. It makes one wonder how much longer Rocchio is going to be a part of the team’s plans. He’s out of options now, so they can’t send him down like they did last summer. Despite having struck out just six times, Rocchio is hitting .170/.316/.255 in 58 plate appearances. His defensive numbers have never lived up to his reputation, and he just hasn’t added any power production, even though his exit velocity numbers have improved some since he entered the league. He’s still just 25, but his future doesn’t seem very bright at this point.
