Yankees recalled LHP Chase Wright from Double-A Trenton.
Wright, who made two starts for the Yankees back in April, ended up with a 3.85 ERA between Double- and Triple-A, though that came with an 81/63 K/BB ratio in 145 innings. He may not pitch for the Yankees at all this month.

Brewers assigned LHP Chase Wright to Triple-A Nashville.
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that the move leaves the Brewers’ 40-man roster at 39 players, possibly opening up a spot to call up a player on Sept. 1 who is not yet on the 40-man roster, such as Corey Patterson. Wright is 8-7 with a 4.22 ERA for Nashville this season.

Double-A Trenton’s Chase Wright began a rehab assignment with the Rookie GCL Yankees on Friday and allowed two unearned runs in an inning.
Wright had been sidelined since late last month with a sore shoulder.

Double-A Trenton’s Chase Wright was placed on the DL with a sore shoulder and will undergo an MRI.
Wright gave up four consecutive homers in a start against the Red Sox last April, was sent down the next day and has hardly been heard from since. He had a 2.56 ERA in 10 starts for Trenton before going down.

    Brewers released LHP Chase Wright.
Wright never got on track this season, holding a horrific 6.14 ERA and 5.3 K/9 rate for Triple-A Nashville. The 28-year-old will attempt to catch on with another organization.

Yankees designated LHP Chase Wright for assignment.
Wright, who made a couple of starts for the Yankees in 2007 and famously gave up homers to four straight in a game against the Red Sox, never appeared in the majors last year and was pretty much off the depth chart for 2009. He should be hoping he’s claimed off waivers.

Brewers acquired LHP Chase Wright from the Yankees for outfielder Eric Fryer.
Wright, who was designated for assignment last week, gets added to Milwaukee’s 40-man roster and likely will be in the mix for a bullpen spot this spring. Dryer was a 10th-round pick in 2007 who batted .335/.407/.506 in 104 games as a 22-year-old at low Single-A last season. He’s done some catching, but that will probably cease now that he’s in the Yankees system. He’s not very likely to ever reach the majors.

Brewers optioned LHP R.J. Swindle and LHP Chase Wright to Triple-A Nashville.
Swindle was a surprising choice for a major league contract when the Brewers signed him as a minor league free agent in November. The team must have liked him more before getting a first-hand look at him, since he’s out of the running for a bullpen spot even after allowing just one run in five innings. Wright, a waiver claim from the Yankees, gave up five runs in eight innings.

Chase Wright pitched seven scoreless innings and struck out nine for Double-A Trenton on Thursday.
Wright, a 2001 third-round pick, never pitched in full-season ball until 2005, but he took quite a step forward last year and really impressed the Yankees during spring training. He may not have a future as a starter in New York, but he would be interesting in relief. He’s also potential trade bait.

Chase Wright became the second pitcher in major league history to give up four straight homers Sunday against the Red Sox.
The Dodgers hit four straight homers against the Padres last year, but they hit two off Jon Adkins and then two off Trevor Hoffman. Wright pitched out of danger in each of the first two innings before giving up the four solo homers in the third. He finished the inning, but he didn’t come back out for the fourth. He may be sent down to make room for Chien-Ming Wang on the roster.
