Marlins acquired RHP Colby Martin from the Blue Jays for Robinson Piña.
The Marlins designated Piña for assignment over the weekend and had to facilitate a trade with the Blue Jays. They will get back Martin, who is 24 years old but only pitching at High-A. He has been solid this season, with a 1.54 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 30/14 K/BB ratio in 23 1/3 innings, so perhaps the Marlins will be a bit more aggressive with his promotion.
