Guardians re-signed INF Dayan Frías to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
As a switch-hitting middle infielder with some power potential, Frías seemed pretty interesting as a teenager a few years back. However, he just hasn’t hit the last two years — he came in at .216/.318/.318 between Double- and Triple-A this season — and he’s playing more third and first than up the middle these days. He’s probably not a future major leaguer.
