Pirates OF prospect Edward Florentino (ankle) will make his season debut in a rehab contest for Low-A Bradenton.
Florentino returns to game action for the first time since suffering a left ankle injury during spring training back in February. The 19-year-old phenom blossomed into one of the top fantasy prospects in baseball last year, hitting .290/.400/.548 with 41 extra-base hits, including 16 homers, and 35 steals in 83 games between Low-A Bradenton and the Rookie-level Florida Complex League. It’s a significant develop in dynasty formats as Florentino figures to end the year as a top 10 overall prospect.

Pirates OF prospect Edward Florentino homered for the third consecutive contest on Sunday for Low-A Bradenton.
One of the fastest-rising prospects in dynasty leagues, Florentino’s rapid ascent has continued at Low-A following a dominant 29-game run in the Rookie-level Florida Complex League to open the season. The 18-year-old prodigy offers a tantalizing blend of plus raw power, above-average athleticism and decent plate skills — the kind of toolset that screams long-term fantasy relevance. He’s batting .283 with seven homers and 16 steals in 28 games as one of the youngest hitters in the pitcher-friendly Florida State League.
