Francisco Arcia homered as a catcher and gave up three runs over two innings of relief work Thursday against the A’s.
It’s pretty pathetic when you need a position player to pitch in a September game, but the Angels decided to move Arcia from catcher to pitcher down 18-2 in the seventh inning today. He ended up with a lower ERA (13.50) than the rest of the staff (16.50) today. The homer was his sixth in 86 at-bats.
