Nationals RHP prospect Greg Ross hurled seven shutout innings Tuesday in a win for Double-A Harrisburg.
He matched his longest outing of the year while limiting Hartford to three hits and a walk. The 26-year-old induced 15 groundouts Tuesday while throwing 49 of his 76 pitches for strikes. Ross began the year at High-A Potomac but earned a promotion by recording a stingy 1.45 ERA over his first 10 outings. He’s only stuck out 22 hitters over 38 innings this year, though opponents have hit only .206 against Ross in 136 at-bats.
