    Tigers acquired RHP Greg Ross from the Braves to complete the Jeff Baker trade.
    Ross was the player to be named later in the deal. The 23-year-old right-hander had a 4.60 ERA and 106/40 K/BB ratio in 131 innings this season in 21 starts and four relief appearances with Class A Rome. Baseball America didn’t include him among the Braves’ top 30 prospects coming into the season.

    Nationals RHP prospect Greg Ross hurled seven shutout innings Tuesday in a win for Double-A Harrisburg.
    He matched his longest outing of the year while limiting Hartford to three hits and a walk. The 26-year-old induced 15 groundouts Tuesday while throwing 49 of his 76 pitches for strikes. Ross began the year at High-A Potomac but earned a promotion by recording a stingy 1.45 ERA over his first 10 outings. He’s only stuck out 22 hitters over 38 innings this year, though opponents have hit only .206 against Ross in 136 at-bats.

    Orioles signed RHP Greg Ross to a minor league contract.
    The 26-year-old right-hander spent the first five seasons of his professional career in the Braves organization. He posted a 3.99 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 80/47 K/BB ratio over 137 2/3 innings at Double-A Mississippi in 2015. He’s nothing more than a depth signing for the O’s.

    Ross was released by the Orioles at the end of spring training. The 25-year-old hurler has reported to High-A Potomac where he’ll serve as starting pitching depth for the Nationals.
