Reds purchased the contract of INF Henry Rodriguez from Double-A Carlina.

The Reds chose to protect Rodriguez from the Rule 5 draft after he batted .320/.372/.469 with 13 homers and 30 steals between High- and Double-A this season. The 21-year-old hasn’t really found a defensive home, but he can hit. He’s not ready for a big league roster spot, though.
