Blue Jays acquired C Jacob Sharp and OF Jonatan Clase from the Mariners for RHP Yimi Garcia.
Sharp, 22, was a 17th-round selection of the Mariners from the 2023 draft class. He has spent his 2024 campaign at Single-A Modesto for the first time where he has slashed .255/.339/.435 with six homers, 29 RBI, three swipes and a 19/18 K/BB ratio over 191 plate appearances. He’s a long way away from being an option at the big-league level.
